After third term midterm break, we embark on the process of electing student head. All students that applied to be our student head went through weeks of interviews, presentations and campaigning where they had to motivate on why they would make a good student head.
On 27th June, 2025, using a secret ballot system, all students and staff voted and Ms. Favour Odinaka emerged as our student head. To have a second female as our student head speaks to our believe that all genders are equal. The position of student head is one that comes with a lot of responsibilities and a sense of duty.
Ms Favour is one of our pioneer students and has in so many ways demonstrated what it means to be a servant leader. Her examplary care for younger students and willingness to put others first – at all times – makes her stand out as a servant leader. Ms. Favour was unanimously voted by her peers as a true VNLA character in the way she conducts herself. On a daily basis, she lives off our values of empathy, humility, integrity, ethics, hardwork, self-sacrifice and servant leadership.
Motivationally, we are invited by the possibilities and potentialities within the reach of human aspirations and which holistic and ethical education can bring about. Guided by the principle of holistic self-organization as we grow together, we anticipate a future that is informed by meaningful experience and the actualisation of our individual and collective human potential in collaboration with each other. And so, we are committed to creating together an integrated leadership aimed at learning how to re-engage with each other and with our environment in a way that is not only sustainable, but also mindfully enriching in the learning experience. We recognize the urgency for a new narrative and through transformed education; we aim to enable an attitude in society of exercising responsibility.
Our job will only be complete when your child leaves our academy as an educated, ethical and responsible person.
