The Victor Nwankwo Leadership academy is established and operates on the basic principle of equality of all humanity. We practice this equality by ensuring that there is no form of superiority in the way we do things starting from basic things like how we communicate with our staff, students and their parents. We advocate and “hold these truths to be self-evident, that all (humans) are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
The academy intentionally excludes any form of organized institutional religious activity because we are open to every religion and therefore would rather avoid a situation where one religious group or religion has larger presence or dominates in the academy, more than another.
Our academy is a very spiritual academy. Our definition of spirituality finds meaning in our desire to ensure that our students and staff have a constant inner awareness that drives them in the things they do, and ultimately in their relationships with self and the world.
We believe that spirituality finds meaning in self-fulfillment and self-actualization. We further believe that when self-actualization is reached, one begins to live for courses greater than oneself. So, whether it is music, sport, charity work, prayer or public speaking that makes anymembers of the academy connect with themselves and be their best, we will provide a conducive environment to bring that to fruition.
Thus, while we are not a religious academy, we are a spiritual academy that allows our students and staff to make their individual journeys that leads to self-transcendence. This is our view of spirituality.
Our job will only be complete when your child leaves our academy as an educated, ethical and responsible person.
